„(. ) (. .) (. .) (: :)“ veranschaulicht ein vereinfachtes gespräch zwischen zwei personen, das aus bewegungen und codes besteht. dieser prozess wird durch ein schwarzes loch gestört, das lücken erzeugt und fragmente innerhalb der kommunikationsversuche abfängt. die zwei sitzen an den enden von einem in schwarzen stoff verkleideten tisch, der vor einer wand mit einem schwarzen kreis positioniert ist. sie tragen beide einen körperanzug aus luftpolsterfolie.

die videoarbeit wurde im rahmen der publikation „the machine stops“ erarbeitet.
das Buch wurde publiziert als projekt der klasse vom professor carsten nicolai, der hochschule für bildende künste in dresden 2021. die edition ist limitiert auf 100 bücher.

„(. ) (. .) (. .) (: :)“  illustrates a simplified conversation between two people that consists of movements and codes. this process is disrupted by a black hole, that creates gaps and intercepts fragments within the attempts of communication.
the two are sitting at either end of a table covered in black fabric, which is positioned in front of a wall featuring a black circle. they are both wearing full-body suits made of bubble wrap.

the video work was created as part of the publication “the machine stops.” the book was published in 2021 as a class project led by professor carsten nicolai at the dresden academy of fine arts. the edition is limited to 100 copies.

“(. ) (. .) (. .) (: :)” hareketler ve kodlardan oluşan iki kişi arasındaki basitleştirilmiş bir sohbeti betimlemektedir. bu süreç, iletişim girişimleri içinde boşluklar yaratıp parçaları kesintiye uğratan bir kara delik tarafından kesintiye uğrar.
ikili, siyah bir dairenin yer aldığı duvarın önünde duran, siyah kumaşla kaplı bir masanın iki ucunda oturmaktadır. ikisi de balonlu ambalajdan yapılmış tam vücut giysileri giyiyor.

bu video çalışması, “the machine stops” adlı yayının bir parçası olarak yaratıldı. kitap, 2021 yılında dresden güzel sanatlar akademisi’nde profesör carsten nicolai’nin yönettiği bir ders projesi kapsamında yayınlandı. baskı sayısı 100 kopya ile sınırlıdır.
